Biography

Bio

As a professional musician, I've performed throughout the Southern Ontario region, notably Toronto, for the past twenty-five years.

Starting primarily as a Hotel bandleader/musical director, I left that area of the business and started performing on the three Canadian television networks (CBC, CTV and Global), not only as a member of the studio band but also as a featured singer/pianist. (I was one of three finalists on CBC's province-wide on-air talent contest.)

In the early 80's I was the keyboardist for the four-year run of the Gene Taylor Show on CBC. In the late 80's I was Musical Director on a monthly lottery/talent show on Global television, musical directed a province-wide fundraising telethon and was player/contractor for five years on CTV's nationally televised Circus. During that same time, my voice was featured on many television and radio jingles. As well I was honing my skills as a society bandleader and composer/arranger.

Currently, I lead one of the busiest bands in the Greater Toronto Area, catering to the special event industry: corporate events and weddings. Need I say this is a demanding market with discriminating purchasers? I am also involved in arranging and producing (and often co-writing) other musicians' CD projects.

I'm a member of both the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) and the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA).
